Learning style are different ways or approaches of learning. They involve studying process to any particular person that are assumed to permit that person to learn best. People generally prefer a recognizable way of approaching with, communicating, and clarifying information. Based on this method, the idea of particular “learning styles” originated in 1970s, and get tremendous acceptance (Pashler, McDaniel, Rohrer, and Bjork, 2009). At present the traditional content that learning variation develop from various levels of cognitive abilities and intelligence has been changed and it is supported that learning variations developed from intelligent divergence with some other factors too, such as: work difficulties, personality characteristics and learning manner (Emamepur & Shams, 2007; Yilmaz & Orhan, 2010).
According to James and Gardner (1995) learning styles are the situation that allows individuals to understand, to proceed, to store and recall the learning materials.
Peirce (2000) considers that learning style is the method that people favour over other methods in learning. It is essential that school managers, teachers, and other members of educational teams adopt different learning style of students. Investigation results revealed that paying attention to the individual differences and learning characteristics of learners by teachers and others of education teams had an essential role in improving the quality of learning and raising the academic accomplishment of students (Safe, 2008; Tella & Adeniyi, 2009).
In addition, researchers point that goal setting is necessary for success in the learning process (Anderman, 2011). Goal setting promote students to make improvements in different prospect of learning as it plays an primary component of decision making which is related to the intellectual processes that choose the proper actions to make achievements. Therefore, in order to encourage learning among students and ease accomplishment of goals, it is necessary for the students to understand the idea of goal setting theory for achieving both scholarly and professional success.
