Activity 1- explaining the role of marketing and its relationship with other functional units.
Suppose, you are applying for the role of marketing officer at Bodyshop, this is the high-street retailer and as a part of interview process, you are needed to submit on the concept of market and its role within the company. Moreover, you are asked how the marketing interrelates with the other functions in the business.
You need to do the following as a minimum:
- Define the roles and responsibilities of marketing function(you may cover the reference to the concept of marketing, current and future trends, change in technology and more).
- Define how roles and responsibilities related to the market to the wider organizational context.
Activity 2- Comparison of how the company use the marketing-mix and prepare a marketing plan
Imagine you got a role and you are appointed as the marketing officer at Bodyshop. First talks of this role in to prepare a presentation on how different company can apply the marketing mix and develop a marketing plan.
For this, to be at least adequate, you will need to:
- Compare how various companies planning to apply their marketing mix(7Ps) in order to achieve the objective of the business. You need to choose two competitors for conducting the marketing mix.
- Produce and evaluate marketing plan for Bodyshop.

Presentation of comparing, how companies can use the marketing mix and marketing plan.
